HOW TO INSTALL NET POSTS
- When installing posts, make sure they will rest no higher than 1"
above the net cord, at a height of about 3'-6" above the court surface.
The footings should be a minimum of 3'-6" below surface or to the frost
depth of your area. (See Net Post Footing diagram)
- Place footings so that the center line of the posts will be 3' outside the
court on each side.
- The center lines of posts should be positioned 42' apart for Doubles court
and 33' apart for Singles court. Post sleeves are recommended because they
allow easy removal of the posts for resurfacing, maintenance, post
repair/replacement, and alternate uses of the court.
- During the off season or when winterizing, it is best to remove the net
posts and plug the sleeves with sleeve covers to prevent moisture and dirt
from falling in.
Pulley And Pin Installation
- Insert the brass pulley into the post cap.
- Insert the pin into the hole of the post cap. Lightly tap the pin with a hammer so that the pin is just barely started in the hole of the cap. Line up the center hole of the pulley with the hole in the cap. Then tap the pin further until it mates with the hole in the pulley.
- Once the pulley is lined up with the hole in the cap, tap the pin with the hammer until the pin is flush with the cap.
