Century Sports, Inc. was founded in 1972 as an importer and distributor of racquet sports products. In 1983, it acquired a major manufacturer of tennis court nets and windscreens and soon expanded into other court equipment areas, acquiring a line tape business in the mid-1980s. In 1993, Century Sports became the exclusive Court Equipment licensee for Wilson Sporting Goods Co. The company sells to end-user facilities such as country clubs, educational institutions, municipalities, condominium associations, and private court owners via on-the-road sales people, an in-house telemarketing staff and a 56-page 4-color catalog, website and annually updated price list. Century Sports’ high level of customer service and quick, reliable delivery have allowed it to become one of the largest suppliers of racquet sports court equipment in the U.S.

In 1990, Century built a 40,000 square foot manufacturing and distribution facility in Lakewood, NJ, where it is now headquartered. The more than 40 employees bring many years of combined experience and craftsmanship to the business, which prides itself on its high standard of quality and personal service.

Century Sports is also the most diversified supplier of court equipment in the U.S., with a strong commitment to product innovation and improvement. For example, the Revolution line of nets exhibits the newest materials and technologies, while another top-of-the-line group of products, the Royale line of tennis nets, posts, windscreens and court accessories, was developed to provide the highest quality possible and is constantly being expanded and updated. In addition to tennis nets, posts and windscreens, Century Sports also sells under the Wilson brand name tennis ball machines and retrievers, court accessories, fencing, indoor court products (such as backdrops and divider netting), line tapes, court padding, platform tennis nets, privacy screens, surface covers, and teaching carts. It also sells other popular racquet sports court products such as backboards, badminton nets, benches, cabanas, court dryers, rollers, surfacing products, umpire chairs, volleyball and wallyball nets, and ball machines from Lob-Ster, Master Sports, Playmate and Tennis Tutor, as well as a full line of golf netting and cages.

In addition to Court Equipment, Century Sports also carries a large line of racquet sports products-such as racquets, string, grips, balls, and stringing tools-from nationally recognized brands (Wilson, Bike, Head) sold through retail stores and country club pro shops.
