FAQs
FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS (FAQs)
1. Who can order from Century Sports?
We are a supplier to both public and private tennis courts, as well as to anyone who maintains a tennis court. For example, we sell to country clubs, tennis pros, schools, colleges, municipalities, parks & rec departments, and private court owners.
2. How can I pay for my order?
We accept VISA, MasterCard and American Express, as well as Checks-With-Orders. We also establish open accounts for those who complete and receive approval of a credit application.
3. When will I get my order?
Items for most orders are typically shipped the same day the order is received if placed by 1:00 pm EST (except for made-to-order items like windscreens, which are shipped 10 working days or less from placement of order). We ship most items F.O.B. from Lakewood, NJ, via UPS; some items may be drop-shipped from the manufacturer.
4. What will be my shipping charges?
Actual shipping charges are not available at time of order but rather are determined after the order is weighed and its destination is known. If you need to know your shipping charges, we will be glad to provide them the day after the order is shipped.
5. What are the differences in the tennis nets?
We offer a wide variety of nets from which to choose. They vary based on:
- Thickness, construction and type of yarn (braided or twisted)
- Type and weight (oz.) of headband material (vinyl or canvas polyester)
- Rows of stitching on headband
- Reinforcement of top six rows of netting
- Side stakes (dowels) included, if any
- Warranty period
- Price
6. Are center straps included with the tennis nets?
No, center straps are sold separately, so make sure to order enough for your nets.
7. What are the advantages of the more-costly internal wind posts vs. external wind?
Internal wind posts are much safer and provide a more attractive, professional appearance on the court, which is why they are so popular at clubs.
8. I'm building a tennis court. What will I need to order?

- Pair of Net Posts and Sleeves
- Line Marking Tapes (enough for one court) for soft courts
